| Programme description: | The MA in European Governance (International Double Award) is a two-year degree, with one year spent at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and one year spent at the University of Kent in Canterbury (UK), in either order. Successful completion of the programme leads to the award of the MA in European Governance (International Double Award) from the University of Kent and the Master in European Studies of the Jagiellonian University of Krakow.
Launched in 2004, this was the first Master’s in European Governance offered in the UK and has established itself as one of the leading programmes in the field worldwide. It is designed to provide an advanced understanding of the EU to those wishing to specialise on European affairs and prepare for a career in the EU policy-making sphere or as a specialist on Europe in the rest of the world. It adopts a multi-disciplinary approach drawing from a wide range of courses in Politics, International Relations, Law and Sociology, with particular focus on the constitutional design, processes of decision-making, public policy analysis and the role of the EU in the world. |
